Cut Pain Paillasse in 5 cm slices, then cut them in two in the length. You will then be able to spread butter, jam, honey or foie gras. .
If you have not entirely finished your Pain Paillasse, you can keep it in a towel or, even better, in a fabric bread bag. Do no put it in a plastic bag ! You can also leave it out of any packaging. The following day, thanks to its high humidity ratio, the bread will be fresh once slightly toasted.
Whether it is clear, dark, Rutick, olive, bacon, fruit, tomato or whether your baker offers it to you in a sandwich, Pain Paillassse is always a pleasure to eat.
