Approaching his sixties, Aimé Pouly, born in Vaud but who emigrated in Geneva 35 years ago, decided to write a book on his professional and private adventure. Simply called "Le Pain" (The Bread), Aimé Pouly's book is illustrated with superbe photographs taken by Pierre-Michel Delessert, and is published by Editions Favre. It tells Aimé Pouly's life, his passion for bakery, cars, and beautiful women.
From his early days, as a bread deliver in Lucens, to present days, as the manager of a corporate group made of eight companies, with 750 employees, and 70 sale points in the Lake Geneva area, Aimé Pouly gives a sincere testimony in his book.
Of course, the history of the famous Pain Paillasse is told in this book. From the mistake of his apprentice baker, to the origin of the product, and the concept which has been exported in ten European countries, the reader will discover almost everything on this « Success Story » which contributed to Aimé Pouly's fame.
